Terms & Conditions

Winter Light Experience Ticket Terms & Conditions Last updated: 31 August 2026 These Ticket Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all tickets purchased for the Winter Light Experience at The Belfry ("Experience", "Event" or "Winter Light Experience"), operated by Parallux Ltd ("Parallux", "we", "us" or "our"). By purchasing a ticket or attending the Experience, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before completing your booking. 1. Tickets and Bookings 1.1. 1.2. 1.3. All bookings are subject to availability and these Terms. Your ticket is valid only for the date and entry time shown on your booking confirmation. Entry is provided in timed 15-minute arrival slots. Your allocated time is your arrival and entry time, not the duration of your visit. 1.4. We recommend arriving in sufficient time to park and make your way to the Event entrance so that you are ready to enter within your allocated time. 1.5. Late arrival may result in a delay to your entry or, where we are unable to safely accommodate you within another available entry period, refusal of entry. We cannot guarantee entry for customers arriving substantially outside their allocated time. 1.6. Tickets are only valid when purchased through an authorised Winter Light Experience ticketing channel. We reserve the right to refuse admission where a ticket is counterfeit, duplicated, fraudulently obtained or otherwise invalid. 1.7. Tickets must not be resold for commercial gain or at a price above their original purchase price. We reserve the right to cancel tickets which we reasonably believe have been resold in breach of these Terms. 1.8. You are responsible for providing accurate contact and booking information when placing your order. 2. Ticket Protection 2.1. Ticket Protection may be offered as an optional add-on when purchasing tickets. Ticket Protection is not included automatically with your ticket and must be purchased separately. 2.2. Where Ticket Protection has been purchased, the ticket holder may request to transfer their booking to an alternative date and/or entry time, subject to the conditions of the Ticket Protection Policy and availability. 2.3. A transfer under Ticket Protection is only possible where there is sufficient capacity remaining in the requested alternative date and entry time. 2.4. Ticket Protection does not guarantee that an alternative date or entry time will be available. If the requested date or entry slot is full, you will need to select another available date or time or retain your original booking. 2.5. Any transfer request must be made within the period specified in the Ticket Protection Policy. Requests made outside that period may be refused. 2.6. Ticket Protection applies only to the booking for which it was purchased and cannot be transferred separately to another booking or person. 2.7. Where the new booking has a higher ticket price than the original booking, any applicable difference in price must be paid before the transfer is completed. 2.8. Where the new booking has a lower ticket price, no cash refund or credit will be provided unless expressly stated in the Ticket Protection Policy. 2.9. Ticket Protection does not provide a general right to cancel your booking or obtain a refund. 2.10. The Ticket Protection fee is non-refundable once purchased, including where the protection is not subsequently used, unless otherwise required by law. 3. Refunds and Cancellation by Customers 3.1. Tickets are non-refundable except where required by law or where expressly provided for under these Terms. 3.2. If you are unable to attend your booked date and time, no refund will normally be provided. 3.3. If you have purchased Ticket Protection, you may be able to transfer your booking in accordance with section 2. 3.4. The fact that you have not purchased Ticket Protection does not create a right to transfer or refund your booking. 3.5. Booking, transaction and Ticket Protection fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. 4. Cancellation or Changes by Us 4.1. We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, suspend or materially alter the Experience where reasonably necessary. 4.2. Circumstances may include severe weather, unsafe ground conditions, flooding, high winds, fire, technical failure, loss of power or other utilities, damage to installations, public health concerns, instructions from emergency services or authorities, or other circumstances affecting the safe operation of the Event. 4.3. If we cancel a scheduled Event before it takes place, affected customers will be contacted using the email address and, where provided, mobile telephone number supplied at the time of booking. 4.4. Where an Event is cancelled by us, we will, where reasonably possible, offer affected customers: a) a transfer to an alternative date and/or entry time, subject to availability; or b) a refund of the ticket price paid for the cancelled Event. 4.5. Any refund or alternative arrangement offered under this section will relate to the affected Winter Light Experience booking. We will not normally be responsible for any additional costs incurred by customers, including travel, accommodation, parking, food or other expenses. 4.6. Where an Event has commenced but is subsequently closed or substantially disrupted, we will determine what reasonable alternative arrangements, if any, should be offered having regard to the circumstances and the extent to which the Experience was delivered. 4.7. If an individual installation, attraction or part of the trail is unavailable, temporarily closed or altered but the Experience remains substantially operational, this will not normally entitle customers to a refund. 5. Weather and Outdoor Conditions 5.1. Winter Light Experience is an outdoor event and will operate in normal winter weather conditions. 5.2. Rain, cold temperatures, wind and other normal winter weather conditions will not normally result in cancellation or entitle customers to a refund. 5.3. Paths and grassed areas may become wet, muddy, slippery or uneven. Customers should wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. 5.4. We may temporarily close or alter sections of the trail where weather or ground conditions make them unsafe. 5.5. Customers should check the Winter Light Experience website and their email before travelling for any important operational updates relating to their booking. 6. Health, Safety and Customer Conduct 6.1. All visitors must comply with Event safety rules, signage and reasonable instructions given by Event staff, security personnel or representatives of the venue. 6.2. Visitors must remain on designated paths and within areas open to the public. Customers must not enter restricted areas, behind installations, onto the golf course outside the designated route or into operational areas. 6.3. Visitors must not touch, climb on, interfere with or attempt to move any lighting, electrical equipment, structures, installations, barriers or other Event equipment. 6.4. Children and vulnerable persons must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. 6.5. Visitors must take reasonable care of themselves and others and must not behave in a manner which could create a health, safety or safeguarding risk. 6.6. We reserve the right to refuse admission to, or remove from the Event, any person who: a) behaves aggressively, abusively, threateningly or disorderly; b) appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs; c) fails to follow reasonable instructions from Event staff; d) damages or interferes with Event or venue property; e) enters a restricted area; f) creates a nuisance or significant disturbance to other visitors; or g) otherwise behaves in a manner which may adversely affect the safety, security or enjoyment of the Event. 6.7. No refund will normally be provided where admission is refused or a visitor is removed due to their conduct or breach of these Terms. 6.8. Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated areas. 7. Alcohol and Food 7.1. Alcohol may only be consumed in areas where its consumption is permitted by the Event and venue. 7.2. Customers must comply with all requirements relating to the responsible consumption of alcohol. 7.3. Alcohol must not be brought onto the Event site where prohibited by the Event or venue. 7.4. Dogs and Assistance Animals 9.1. Dogs are only permitted on dates or sessions specifically advertised as dog-friendly. 9.2. Assistance dogs are permitted in accordance with applicable law. 9.3. On dog-friendly dates, dogs must be kept under control and on a short, non-extendable lead at all times unless otherwise directed by Event staff. 9.4. A maximum of two dogs may be brought by any one adult. 9.5. Dogs must not be left unattended and must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times. 9.6. Dogs displaying aggressive or dangerous behaviour, or which are causing a significant disturbance or safety risk, may be refused admission or required to leave. 9.7. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. 9.8. Customers must comply with all applicable laws relating to prohibited or restricted dog breeds. 10. Accessibility 10.1. We aim to make Winter Light Experience accessible to as many visitors as reasonably possible. 10.2. The Experience takes place outdoors across paths which may be uneven, muddy, slippery or otherwise challenging, particularly in poor weather. 10.3. Customers with accessibility requirements are encouraged to review the accessibility information provided before booking. 10.4. If a free carer or Personal Assistant ticket is available, this is provided on the basis that the accompanying person is required to assist the ticket holder during their visit. 10.5. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us via [email protected] before booking where possible so that we can advise you of the facilities and arrangements available. 11. Photography, Filming and Recording 11.1. Photography and filming for personal, non-commercial use is permitted unless otherwise stated. 11.2. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. 15.2.
